Originally designed by Chelsea Medal winner, Robin Williams, and further developed by local garden designer, Paul Bennett. The beautifully manicured grounds include a woodland walk, a stream, a small lake, and glorious Mediterranean and herb gardens. The main garden, with its panorama of lawns and wonderfully colourful beds, is spectacular. By kind permission of Mr and Mrs Crane.

Directions

Please follow the link provided above but be aware that one-way system will be introduced on certain roads.

Visitors are encouraged to come from La Grande Route de St. Jean on to Rue du Becquet Vincent which joins, briefly, Rue des Arbre before it becomes Rue de la Garenne.

The approach to the house will be a one-way system and that way will continue along Rue de la Garenne which will be a two way at that stage or a left turn into Rue de Jardin which will be one-way running East.

There will be signs for the entrance to the Car Park with the exit nearly opposite the gates for Beau Desert.

Parking

Free parking will be available at Rue de la Garenne with a drop off point in the Courtyard near the house for people with restricted mobility.

There is no disable parking but there will be someone at the gate to park the car of a disabled driver if needed.

Accessibility

The garden is generally partially suitable for visitors with limited mobility and there are two steps to negotiate to access the tea area

JAYF Open Gardens are a fantastic family outing and a joy for garden lovers everywhere. Thank you to everyone who visited or supported our Open Gardens in 2022, we had a very successful season and it wouldn’t have been possible without all our wonderful volunteers and visitors. Guests tried their luck at tombolas and treated themselves to delicious cream tea, served with genuine Jersey clotted cream, milk and butter kindly donated by Fungi Delecti and Jersey Dairy. Thanks also to Neil and Alli Singleton of Birding Tours who ensured guests got the most out of their visit with their wonderful guided Walk and Talks. JAYF are enormously grateful to Aztec Group for its continued support of the Open Garden scheme.
